From Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th November, twenty-eight Year 9 and 10 students from Charters School in Sunningdale, kept the tennis matches moving smoothly at the ATP Champions Tour at the Royal Albert Hall. The students were chosen as 'ball kids' to ensure that the players had enough balls to serve and that they got new ones quickly when needed.

As well as meeting players including Greg Rusedski, Mark Philippoussis & of course the “Court Jester” Mansour Bahrami, one of their students was invited to play a point against Emma Raducanu! It was one of highlights of the event and was posted on the BBC's Twitter feed.

Charters School in Sunningdale is very proud to be launching a fundraising campaign which really embodies their school motto of Unity Respect Excellence.

There are several unseen students at Charters who are battling long-term medical conditions that prevent them from attending school, and they are raising funds to buy an AV1 Robot so that these children have a chance to be heard and included in day-to-day activities.

With the help of one of their past students, Bayley Prickett, who is now studying Film Studies at university, a wonderful parent and some incredible students, Charters has created what they hope is a fundraising film that people will want to share with their friends. They hope that the film fills you with a similar feeling to the one you may get when you watch a John Lewis Christmas advert, and that it will inspire people to donate to this wonderful initiative.

Each Robot costs £3240 and the school hopes that the local community will donate and give the Gift of Friendship this Christmas.

The Film can be watched herehttps://youtu.be/HMTRLkoFCO4

First Gigaclear customers live in Ascot with exclusive 400Mbps ‘try before you buy’ offer...

Gigaclear, the UK’s largest rural full fibre broadband provider, is offering residents in Ascot the opportunity to take a free six-month trial of the company’s 400Mbps service which will allow residents to try the service free for six months before having the option to buy.

The broadband provider has already connected its first customers in Ascot with this exclusive offer which is nine times faster than the UK average.

Nick Rawlings, Chief Marketing Officer said; “The difference with a full fibre connection really is staggering and we want to be able to demonstrate that. We have put together this amazing offer to allow all Ascot residents in our network to give it a try for FREE and see for themselves. With more people relying on a strong, stable connection and more devices than ever being connected to the internet, we are confident that users will want to keep the service after their free trial. However, at the end of the six months, if you aren’t thoroughly blown away, there is no obligation to stay with us.”
