The 4 Platoon Ascot (Irish Guards) Army Cadets – Recruiting Now!  Open to all children in secondary education between the ages of 12-18, parading Monday and Wednesdays from 7.30 -9.30pm at the Licensed Victuallers School, London Road, Ascot Activities include :  Shooting, Fieldcraft, First Aid, Weapons Training, Physical Training, Map & Compass, Adventurous Training.  WThey also run a Duke of Edinbrough’s Award Scheme, and can qualify 16+ Cadets with a CVQO Btech Award in Public Services.No Joining Fee, Uniform is free, and training weekends away are CHEAP.  A summer camp is held every year for 2 weeks in the summer holidays. They are available to help at public events (help setting up, packing away, car parking assistance etc),  especially between the months of September -December. This is where youth clubs starts, we get to play fun games with the youth workers, cook lots of things like Pizzas, Cakes, Cookies, Pasta and more!  We give our ideas to the youth workers and they plan what we are going to do each week, there’s quite a lot of us that go, so its great to play and have fun with our friends at the same time of doing things we haven’t done before.

The 11th Windsor Cubs and Scouts, who meet on Thursdays at St.Peter's Church Hall in Hatchet Lane, Cranbourne, have a few vacancies for cubs (age eight to ten and a half, and for scouts (up to age 16).  They meet every Thursday in term time Cubs - Age 8 - 10, 6.15 7.45pm, Scouts - ages 10 - 14, 8 - 9.30pm. St.Peter's Film Group meets on the last Saturday of the month at 2pm, at St. Peter's Church Hall, Hatchet Lane, Cranbourne, near Ascot .
