Work is yet to begin on the new Medical Hub between Sunninghill and Sunningdale - destined to replace the two doctors' surgeries, Magnoilia House and King's Corner. Plans were first submitted five years ago and planning permission was granted over two years ago. A spokesman for  from NHS Frimley said that a full business case for the hub still needs to be submitted to NHS England to get the go-ahead. It seems that even submitting this case could take several more months.

The Sunningdale Health Hub would bring together Magnolia House Surgery and Kings Corner Surgery on a single site and within a new, purpose-built building. Patients, carers and staff would benefit from modern healthcare facilities that meet current standards and provide a significantly enhanced environment.   The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead application number was 20/00969/FULL

Having a strong ethos of community is one of the fundamental pillars at Sunningdale based Charters School - be it their own school community or the wider local community that they are proud to be a part of.  So, when an opportunity came along for their Sixth Formers to be able to spend an evening with the elderly residents at Ascot Grange Care Home, they grabbed it with both hands!

It was a wonderful evening for the Year 12 and 13 students who sang festive Christmas Carols with the residents before spending some valuable time with them, sharing scrumptious Christmas treats and bringing a smile to their faces.  Charters Sixth Form offers a thriving enrichment programme which helps students to develop a sense of self, learn new skills and challenge themselves to do something new; all of which helps support a healthy work life balance. The students trip to the care home was just one example of the enrichment programme in action.
