Local dogs from Windsor & Ascot raised £1,350 for a Berkshire charity and
are now enjoying their book
ASCOT, BERKSHIRE (November 28, 2022) – Millers Image Limited, the Ascot and Windsor
UK based specialist dog photographers, launched their book “Tails of Windsor & Ascot”, the
completion of their fundraising project for a Berkshire based charity.
Tails of the World is an international group of professional pet photographers, each
celebrating the dogs of their region with their own “Tails of . . .” fundraising coffee table
book. Back in February of this year, MIL Pet Photography was selected into the international
collaborative to create Tails of Windsor & Ascot.
Chris & Sue Miller of MIL Pet Photography ensured that they captured the true personality
of dogs on location around Windsor & Ascot in beautiful dog photography in a limitededition
coffee table book which will be treasured forever.

“All previous editions of this Collective across the world has raised funds for a local charity
and we wanted to do the same here in Berkshire. We partnered with Berkshire Search and
Rescue Dogs (BSARD) who joined us at the Book Launch too” Miller said.
BSARD is a volunteer Lowland Rescue search dog team on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a
year to assist Search and Rescue teams, the Police and other Emergency Services. Their
primary role is to assist in locating lost or missing vulnerable people within Berkshire and its
surrounding areas. They are completely dependent on sponsorship and donations to exist
and carry out their amazing work.
“Training is such a vital part of preparation for our dogs, and the woods in Ascot are often
used for that purpose. Chris and Sue are regularly out and about in these same woods and
so we were delighted that they wanted to help us and raise funds through this book,” said
Graeme Rumbol, Chairman of BSARD.
Chris spent time on a training exercise with the BSARD dogs and has dedicated a whole
chapter to the great work of the search dogs, their techniques and training. To ensure that
this book can continue to add value, the profits from all future sales of the book will
continue to help our local Search and Rescue Dogs here in Berkshire.
As Rumbol states in the Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs chapter of the book: “This
project has already raised £1,350 for our charity and by purchasing this book, you have
added to that. Thank you to Chris, Sue and all the dog lovers associated with Tails of
Windsor & Ascot.”
Tails of Windsor & Ascot contains dogs on location in and around Windsor & Ascot. Each
double page spread has a series of images, and each dog shares their own story – with a
little help from their owners. This book is for Dog Lovers by Dog Lovers. The pre-orders
were for the dogs' owners, but all Dog Lovers will enjoy this book, particularly those who
want to see Windsor & Ascot from a dog's perspective!
"As part of the Tails of the World Collective, we are proud to have authored this
photographic coffee table book showcasing dogs from the Royal Borough, specifically in
Windsor & Ascot” Miller said. “All of those involved with the fundraiser have become
friends, and we are truly proud to have incorporated so many Dog Lovers and their
companions on location around the area that we are privileged to call home. We enjoyed
celebrating the launch of the book together at Mill Ride Golf Club.”
The Millers were overwhelmed by the keen interest in the book project and completed the
natural light dog photography sessions between April and September 2022, capturing the
true personality of 45 different dogs. With 128 pages and over 180 photos, the book is now
available for sale, with full details available on their website.
“It’s been hard work throughout 2022 taking over 20,000 images but we’ve loved every
minute of our time with the dogs and all of those involved, with special thanks to those who
gave us permission to use their property to photograph from too. It has been such a
rewarding year, and Sue and I are proud that we have completed the book in time for
Christmas 2022 which should mean even more funds for Berkshire Search and Rescue
Dogs,” Miller added. “We are now starting to get back photos of the dogs reading the book
themselves which we love too.”
