This week marks Recycle Week 2022 and Bracknell Forest is encouraging residents to get real about recycling. Recycling doesn’t have to be difficult, and we all have a responsibility to do it correctly.

Did you know that 20 per cent of waste collected in blue bins in Bracknell Forest is contaminated? Contaminants such as food, beauty products and electricals make our waste unable to be recycled.

But  this can be fixed, if you’re unsure on how to dispose of certain items, use the Re3cyclopedia app. You can type in the item and see how to dispose of it and where.

Let’s get real about recycling and make Bracknell Forest a cleaner and greener place to live.

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is consulting until Friday 2nd December on its Council Tax Reduction scheme for working-age applicants in 2023/24.

Council Tax Reduction is a means-tested benefit that helps people on low incomes by reducing the amount of Council Tax they pay. Councils must decide each year on whether to make any changes to the scheme.

In the Royal Borough, it is proposed that the scheme essentially remains the same, maintaining the maximum level of discount for working-age recipients at 80 per cent of their Council Tax bills.
