Boys from Year 4 at Papplewick School, Ascot, and their class teachers Miss Credland and Mr Ferry enjoyed a trip to the Natural History Museum in London on Monday, 21st May. As part of their science work through the summer term they have been investigating classification and how different species adapt to their environments.

The boys were given two education sessions run by the museum. They visited the Attenborough suite to listen to the “Variety Show”, which allowed them to classify themselves and explore the differences between each type of animal. Then they took part in “Dino Scene Investigations”, using their observation skills to act as paleontologists identifying different dinosaur skulls.

Other favourites in the museum were the exhibits on volcanoes and minerals, the massive blue whale and dinosaurs.
