On Monday 19th December, Charters School in Sunningdale   held the annual A Level Presentation Evening. The students who sat their A Level examinations in the summer produced some of the highest ever grades in the school’s history and were welcomed back to the school to celebrate their successes.

There was an opportunity for the cohort to catch up with teachers, family and friends during a drinks reception prior to the prize-giving where the students received their exam certificates. Cups and prizes were presented by the guest of honour, Graham Clark, an ex-student who attended Charters in the 1970’s and went on to forge a career in IT after a chance meeting with Bill Gates. He spoke about the lessons he had learnt during his working life and the importance of valuing family and friends, entertaining the audience with nuggets of wisdom which he said, ‘You will forget but may remember at some point on the future’.

The prestigious Peyton Cup was won by Megan Oyinka. The cup is awarded to the student who has shown all the attributes which the school wishes to instill in the students, and the winner of this cup personifies Charters School.
