The Rotary Club of Ascot principally provides support to well-known local community activities and raises money for local and international causes. With a motto 'Service Above Self'', its main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace and around the world. There are 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide in 34,000 Rotary Clubs in nearly every country. It is not affiliated with any political or religious organisations.

Locally, it is particularly well-known for organising the hugely popular New Year's Day Sunninghill Wheelbarrow Race, which in 2016, raised over £8,000 to donate to the Ascot District Day Centre and other charities. (The Club has also contributed to the purchasing of two new mini buses, used for transport to the Day Centre).  See PHOTOS OF WHEELBARROW RACE winners 2017.

The South East Berkshire  Ramblers organise a comprehensive programme of group walks in areas such as Swinley Woods, Winkfield and Windsor Great Park.

Give them a try! Make new friends! Keep healthy!

South East Berks Ramblers is your local Ramblers Group. We are a friendly group who lead around 200 walks/year. We cater for all abilities and have short easy taster walks which take about 1 hour up to 10 mile walks for the fitter, experienced walkers. You will be made very welcome whatever your ability, even if you haven’t walked with a group before.

We have a very full social calendar which includes coach trips, barn dances and quiz evenings.

Walking is one of the easiest and most pleasurable ways to keep healthy. You are welcome to try us out by joining one of our walks which you can find online at sebr.org.uk or just Google SEBR.

The Ramblers are a charity whose main aim is to preserve our public rights of way for the use of everybody.
