The Hythe Singers is a small and enthusiastic group of amateur singers. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings during term time, from 7:30pm – 9:45pm, currently at St. Jude’s Junior School in Englefield Green, as our usual venue at The Hythe CentreEgham Hythe, is being used by the NHS. We give three concerts a year.

We perform a wide and varied repertoire, from arrangements of popular songs to music by classical composers from the 12th to the 21st century. You can hear some of our favourite pieces recorded before and during Lockdown on our YouTube channel.

We also sing choral evensong on an occasional basis (most recently at All Saints Church, Marlow, a week’s summer residency at St. David’s Cathedral in Wales, and a weekend at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor).

In recent years, the choir has performed and commissioned a number of works by young contemporary composers, mostly for unaccompanied voices.

In rehearsals we work hard, paying attention to detail and developing our vocal technique. But we also have fun (and tea and biscuits). We want everyone to enjoy the experience of singing together whilst achieving a high standard.

Come sing with us!
