NEXT COMES TO THE LEXICON

The Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP)  and Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) are delighted to announce that one of the UK’s major fashion retailers, Next, will be coming to the new town centre.

The new 27,600sq ft. store will bring its stylishly designed and comprehensive fashion offer to The Lexicon Bracknell when it opens in Spring 2017.

Simon Russian, Development Manager for Legal & General on behalf of the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, comments: “The exciting news that Next will be opening a major three level fashion store in the new town centre perfectly aligns with the wider purpose of the regeneration to attract the best fashion brands to The Lexicon Bracknell. We are confident that the influential brands we have on board so far will provide a compelling shopping and leisure offer to residents and visitors.

“It is a major vote of confidence in The Lexicon Bracknell that one of the UK’s biggest and most acquisitive retailers recognises the potential of having a major fashion store that complements the fashion offer that has already been confirmed. This means that over 60% of the new floor space of The Lexicon has already been let to many of the leading fashion brands in the UK, and we expect to be able to make further exciting announcements shortly.”

The new store will complement the retailer’s current presence in the Peel Centre, which will remain open for business.

Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration, says: “Having a new Next at The Lexicon Bracknell to complement the existing busy Next at The Peel Centre is great news as it shows just how bouyant and bustling our economy is locally.

“Next joins a growing list of high-profile and well-known retailers to join The Lexicon Bracknell, with even more retailers due to be announced over the coming months, making our new town centre the place to be come Spring 2017.”

Steve Ardron, Regional Estates Manager at Next Group PLC comments: “We are pleased to bring our comprehensive fashion offer to The Lexicon Bracknell and are looking forward to opening our new store in early 2017, as part of one of the UK’s most exciting regeneration schemes.”

The announcement follows the recent launch of ‘The Lexicon Bracknell’, the new identity of the shopping and leisure centre in Bracknell Town Centre. The Lexicon Bracknell will act as a meeting place to positively transform how people live, work and socialise in Bracknell, from residents to young people, and businesses to visitors.

Other retailers to sign up to the scheme include a new 80,000 sq ft Fenwick store, Marks & Spencer, Primark, Waitrose, H&M, Topman, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins and Burton. Cineworld has also committed to a new 12-screen cinema, and eight quality, family friendly restaurants have agreed to take space, including Carluccio’s, Zizzi, Coast to Coast, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Pizza Express, Wagamama, Nando’s and Las Iguanas.
