Sam Quillish ( Jane), Barrington Woodward-Roberts ( Lord Nigel Danvers) and Sophie Spencer ( Fiona) in Salad Days

www.sunningdalesavoy.com The Sunningdale Savoy Chorus has just completed a hugely successful run of Salad Days at its new home - the Rose Theatre at St.Mary's School in Sunninghill. The fun musical was just the right tonic for everyone for these dull days.
From University dons, magic pianos, dancing clerics and nuns, nightclubs with Egyptian belly dancing cabaret, to flying saucers with telepathic speaking aliens, Salad Days has it all  and the SSC gave it their all -
performances befitting the WOW venue, as one of the audience described it.
It was fun all the way.    Ticket Sales were up on last year s production and this means that  the SSc's charity for the year, Windsor and Ascot Driving for the Disabled,  will be the beneficiaries  of a bigger donation! To read reviews and to see a whole - cast picture....

And this is what the audience thought of it –

We attended your 1st performance of "Salad Days", last night.

CONGRATULATIONS   !!!
A wonderful evening's entertainment, so professionally staged; in a superb theatre.

It lifted our spirits and made us laugh a lot.

"Thank You", all of you.  We wish you every success in the following performances.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wasn't quite sure what to expect before we arrived but I was totally blown away by the production, it was very professional and highly enjoyable, and as for the theatre - wow!

We came last night – and are coming again tonight with 2 more friends because –‘its one of the most joyous shows, fantastically well staged he has ever seen’

They saw "Chicago" in London the night before and said that "Salad Days" was far better! The songs were very "catchy" and you (SSC) all looked as if you were enjoying yourselves."

We thoroughly enjoyed your performance of Salad Days tonight (Friday).  It was great fun and hugely entertaining; we haven't laughed so much in a theatre in years.

Congratulations to the young stars who carried the show with sparkle and energy.  We enjoyed all their performances and wish them success in the future.

We were impressed by the chorus.  They brought to life a host of minor characters with confidence and enthusiasm.

The staging and direction was skillfully done, especially the choreographed dances.  Well done to Joanna who played the real piano throughout and brought the music alive.

The Rose Theatre is a fantastic venue and the raked seats give an uninterrupted view of the stage.
