Papplewick is situated bang opposite this famous racecourse and shares a wonderful relationship with this historical course.

On Friday 13th October Year 4 pupils were lucky enough to be invited for a behind-the-scenes look at Ascot racecourse - not something that many have the opportunity of seeing.  During the visit the boys were shown the various different enclosures of which there are many and they were allowed to try out the weighing scales usually reserved for jockey weigh ins and even had a sneak peek inside the changing rooms to enable them to get a real feel for the atmosphere and how the racecourse operates on race days.

They were lucky enough to feed polos to a retired racehorse Side-Eye at the end of the visit and received an Ascot racecourse goodie bag at the end of the visit.
