The Racing Together Community Day is British racing’s national day of employee volunteering - initiated to collectively inspire and showcase racing working in its local communities.  This is the third anniversary of the event and will take place on and around Thursday, 9th May 2019.

In support, Ascot Racecourse will be holding a Food Bank Drive from 7th - 11th May to assist local people who are at a time of crisis.

A Donation Station has been set up at the High Street Reception Entrance for employees and local residents and we encourage you all to bring along a few of the requested items:

  • Tins of meat, fish, tomatoes, vegetables, pasta sauces, custard, rice puddings & fruit
  • Long-life milk & fruit juice
  • Long grain rice
  • Sponge puddings, jam, biscuits
  • Teabags & coffee (50g jars)
  • Handwash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant & toilet paper

They are also inviting racegoers, members/boxholders and RARC members to participate and will be placing additional donation stations in the grandstand and pavilion entrances during the 10th-11th race meetings.

Ascot will then deliver items to the participating foodbanks: Windsor Foodshare, Woodley Foodbank; FoodShare Maidenhead Foodbank; Readifood, Reading; West Berks Foodbank; Bracknell Foodbank; Wokingham Foodbank; Crowthorne Foodbank & Slough Foodbank.
