Delays on the A 329 London Road - Ascot to Bracknell, will get significantly worse from July 9th, for 8 weeks!

Off-peak works continue on phase 3. Continuing to widen the carriageway and prepare the new footway on the north-east side outside Mercedes. This involves lowering and re-routing a high number of buried utility services (such as gas, electric and water). The kerb line within Longhill Road is also being adjusted to cater for the new layout.

Unfortunately, due to a water leak repair and the majority of the utility lowering work being more complicated and taking longer than expected.

On 9th July the upgrade to the Fernbank Road traffic signals will begin. These traffic signals will be refurbished to incorporate the latest technology and enable the signals to operate more efficiently.

The Fernbank Road junction is subject to an ever increasing demand from a growing town centre, several key traffic generators such as schools, businesses, and extensive housing development. The upgraded signals will allow the council to manage traffic better, especially in busy periods, and to ensure increased efficiency and control of the site. The newer equipment has reduced power consumption and will lower the maintenance burden on the council with more reliable equipment.
