Charters School in Sunningdale   held an extended assembly on Tuesday 29 November to celebrate another outstanding year of GCSE achievements.   Prizes were presented to students by Ms Ellie Wallace, Chair of Governors.  Speeches and citations were given by Co-Headteacher, Mr Richard Pilgrim, Mrs Pam Goody, the Head of Year who looked after and led the students from Year 7 to Year 11 and Director of STEM Mrs Kate Hill who presented science prizes generously provided by Lilly UK. 

Mr Richard Pilgrim, Co-Headteacher said, "During the prize-giving assembly we were able to acknowledge the success of our students last summer in their GCSE examinations.  They were a great year group who looked after one another, added so much to school life, were full of fun and secured outstanding academic results.” 

Special awards were presented to:

Marcus Down – The Dame Marcia Twelftree Cup (for highest achievement at GCSE/KS4)

Shah Moore – for Mathematical Endeavour

Lara Bartaby – The Helen Farnon Cup (for Business Studies)

Mokam Sihra – The Durham Shield (for Design Technology)

Mansa Johal – The John Waddleton Cup (for the most improved student in Year 11)

Olivia Kline – The Wallace-Ames Cup (for character and resilience)

Hannah Heitplatz – The CSA Cup (for service to the School)

Angel Thomas – The Kemp Cup (for the most outstanding student in Year 11)

 

Nitish Herkanaidu – Biology Lilly Science prize

Jack Cullen – Chemistry Lilly Science prize

Marcus Down – Physics Lilly Science prize
