Exercise Sessions |Maintaining physical fitness is considered to be an important factor in dealing with Parkinson’s. And you don’t need to be training for the next Olympics to keep fit!  We offer exercise sessions provided by a trained physiotherapist, Beccy Oliver.  Please follow this link to download a PDF document which describes several exercises which you can carry out in the comfort of your own home.

Sunningdale Sessions (For Newly Diagnosed members only)

Have you been diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the last few years?

Did you know that doing at least three sessions of moderate exercise a week is key to managing your Parkinson’s?

Would you like to learn how to create an exercise programme that can help to keep your symptoms steady as you exercise with others who will encourage and inspire you along the way!

The Bracknell & District Parkinsons UK Branch has an exercise class specifically designed for people newly diagnosed with the condition.

Join Parkinsons UK on Monday mornings at Sunningdale Village Hall, Church Road, Sunningdale,  to learn the theory and practice behind the Parkinson’s specific exercise programmes so you have all the skills you need for the future.

Classes run every Monday morning, with 11am – 11:45 dedicated to exercise followed by a chance for refreshments and information sharing.

Classes include:

  • An opportunity to try out the exercises that will push both your body and brain fitness
  • Education on concepts key to Parkinson’s tailored exercise
  • A chance to meet and chat with other people who are newly diagnosed

Led by Rehab Specialist physiotherapist Benny Adeola, the classes use Parkinson’s targeting exercise training regimes based on principles followed by PD Warrior, LSVT BIG, PWR! Moves and others.

The classes will start on Monday, 9th January 2023.  To register, please complete the following registration form
