Mayor taking part in Santa Dash to raise funds for Thames Hospice | The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, Councillor Sayonara Luxton, is inviting residents to help her raise funds for Thames Hospice, when she takes part in Berkshire’s longest running Santa Dash.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions this year’s Santa Dash won’t be taking place in Swinley Forest, instead Thames Hospice is inviting supporters to ‘do it their way’ and take on their own local walking or running route, covering a distance of either 3k, 5k or 10k, while adhering to the government social distancing guidelines.

Councillor Luxton, said: “This has been a tough year for everyone, but throughout Thames Hospice has continued to take care of patients and families in need, because they know how much the community needs them.

“I appreciate and admire everything Thames Hospice do and I want to make sure that this Christmas they can give families the care and support they need. Therefore on Sunday 6 December, I will be donning my Santa Suit and walking a social distanced 10km for a great local cause.”

Residents can support the Mayor’s fundraising for Thames Hospice on her JustGiving page at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/sayonara-luxton1.
