 There is a brand new junior badminton academy (for 6 to 18 years) opening up at the Charters Leisure Centre this September with WINCHESTER BADMINTON. As part of a growing network of junior badminton training academies based mainly in Hampshire, this new venue will serve families all over the local region and will cater for all abilities.

 Winchester Badminton is  committed to reducing childhood obesity, especially following the Covid crisis.  Their 'flagship' venue, in  the Westgate Badminton Centre in Winchester, featured on BBC South Today just after the Covid lockdown:

There is a regular walk around Virginia Water Lake, Windsor Great Park  on the last Thursday of every month. A leisurely walk of 4.5 miles around the lake and starts at 10:30am by the café, normally about one and a half hours .

The car park is off the A30. There are usually parking spaces along the A30 but if these are full the car park is £1.50 per hour. There are toilets at the start and half way around the walk and refreshments are available at the café at the end of the walk or bring your own. Go along on the last Thursday of the month.
