The Royal Windsor Rollergirls (RWRG) is one of over 60 (and still growing) roller derby leagues in the UK.  The team trains several times a week at Charters Leisure Centre, Devenish Road, Sunningdale, which is also the first venue in the UK to put down a permanent roller derby track.  The 60+ members travel from all over Berks, Bucks, and Surrey, and more Ascot members are very welcome.
Roller derby is a fast and furious full-contact game played by ladies on roller skates, as seen in last year's hit Hollywood flick starring Juliette Lewis and Drew Barrymore, 'Whip It'.  It's also currently one of the fastest growing women's sports in the UK.  RWRG are looking for new players of all abilities (including absolute beginners), as well as refs (male or female).  All players and officials must be over 18 - anyone who is interested to try this exciting sport should get in touch via the website: http://www.royalwindsorrollerderby.co.uk/
