Alzheimers Dementia Support is a local charity, commissioned by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to offer free of charge Dementia Awareness Training in the community, to residents and people working in the Borough. The ‘ADS’ Moves and Grooves session is designed for People with Dementia and their Carers to get together for a fun social event where people can participate as much (or as little) as they like.
Whilst we encourage people to join in, we do under- stand that not everyone will want to, however, please come along as the music is guaranteed to cheer you up… even on a cold winter’s day!

·· Moves & Grooves Tea Dance 3rd Thursday 2pm-4pm~
Moves & Grooves Afternoon Tea Dance – For people with dementia and their carers. Our tea dance afternoon is an enjoyable fun social event where people can participate as much as they like. Anthony from ‘Learn to Dance’ will encourage those who wish to dance and he will take to the dance floor and show us some of his moves. Refreshments will be provided. No need to book – just turn up! Ascot Moves and Grooves takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 2pm to 4pm. at King Edwards Hall, King Edwards Road, Ascot SL5 8PD. There is ample parking. Information and advice is also available during the afternoon.
· Seated Exercise with SMILE - Thursday mornings - Refreshments at 10.30am followed by 45 minutes seated exercise, at 11am...
We are pleased to be working with SMILE to offer seated exercise sessions for carers, former carers and people with dementia.
The session will take place on Thursday mornings at;
King Edwards Hall, King Edwards Road, Ascot, SL5 8PD.
Refreshments at 10.15am followed by seated exercises at 11.00.
