Ascot Relay For Life Teams Needed - July 20th 2024

Relay For Life is a unique 24 hour community event which raises money for Cancer Research UK, celebrates local cancer survivors and remembers those lost to cancer.

Organisers are  looking for teams to take part in the event in the Windsor Enclosure, Ascot Racecourse over the weekend of July 20th 2024.  Teams fundraise before the event then come together over the Relay weekend to celebrate their achievements.   Team members take it in turns to walk round the track for 24 hours while all around them a party is in full swing.  There’s live music, competitions, themed laps and lots more.

Cancer Survivors

We would like to invite anyone who has ever had a cancer diagnosis to be our honoured guest and join other local survivors in walking the Relay opening lap before enjoying afternoon tea.

Volunteers/Sponsorship

Lastly we would love to hear from anyone who can help in anyway over the weekend, even if just for a few hours,  This could involve helping teams set up their pitches, helping with car parking, in the tea tent, selling Candles of Hope, helping to clear up on Sunday afternoon or in many other ways.

We would also like to hear from any local companies who would be interested in sponsoring any aspect of Relay such as the Survivors tea, Marquees, the venue, Sound and Lights, The Candle of Hope Ceremony.
