It's 'Really Me'! Windsor's brand new store that says everything about you!
The Mayor of Windsor, Councillor Asghar Majeed officially opened Thames Hospicecare's new and exciting Windsor store at 44 Peascod Street on Friday morning.
The store offers something quite unique and special for Windsor shoppers - in fact a first of its kind for local shoppers - and does away with any thoughts of it being a traditional charity store.
The interestingly named Really Me store offers shoppers retro, vintage and boho clothing accessories, furniture, as well as haberdashery, bric-a-brac, books....and of course, important to any vintage store a great selection of vinyl.

Really Me is no ordinary store, it is Thames Hospicecare’s longest established store and being true to its roots it has reinvented itself as the shop of the moment, just as it was 25 years ago.
Shoppers will not only be discovering unique bargains, but at the same time raising funds for Thames Hospicecare, which provides nursing care for people living with life-limiting illnesses and support for their families.
Julie Rowley, Retail Operations Manager at Thames Hospicecare, is looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers to the store.
“Really Me offers a new and exciting shopping experience in Windsor. Following the success of our 'vintage tent' at the Hospice's summer fayre and the current trend for vintage and retro clothes we thought this was exactly the type of store that would do well in Windsor.
It's important that we always look for new ways to raise funds for the Hospice. The Hospice has to raise over three-quarters of its operating costs from donations, fundraising and sales in its shops. We felt it was time for a change in our Windsor store and to look at new ideas to increase funds for the Hospice.
Julie explains how they arrived at the new name for the store:
“The new name came about because we wanted our shoppers to find unique treasures in our store which made them think, ‘this is really me’ and I am confident there really will be something that suits everyone,” said Julie.

In addition to its retro fashion, Really Me, will also be launching ‘Recycle-Reuse Me.’ Recycle-Reuse Me embraces the popularity for recycling and making-over items with materials from customer donations such as buttons, ribbon, material pieces and embellishments.
To enable the store to run, Really Me needs volunteers who can help in the store and help with Recycle–Reuse Me.
“We are very excited about the Recycle-Reuse Me range. We feel those extra little touches really can make a difference and we want it to grow into a more extensive range,” added Julie.
“We rely on volunteer support in all of our stores and this new collection is dependent on us recruiting more volunteers to help out with skills such as sewing buttons and tying lace. The great thing about Recycle-Reuse Me is that supporters can choose to volunteer within the Windsor store, at the Dedworth Donation Centre or even from their own homes, always at times to suit them.” said Julie.
Really Me will be open from 9:00am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and from 11:00am - 5:00pm on Sundays.
