The new RBWM Mayor will be officially launching 2 mini gardens, designed and planted by students across 6 schools in the Thames Valley Learning Partnership, at The Goswells public park (a stone's throw from Windsor Castle and the river) at 1:30pm on Thursday 26th May 2022 . A map of this location is shown below.

The creation of the 2 raised beds, which will be located on either side of the Queen's fountain, are a result of a TVLP garden design competition to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The Thames Valley Learning Partnership Coordinator will be there, along with a representative from Hillier Garden Centre in Sunningdale (competition judge and plant sponsor), and a representative from the Council's Parks department.

The beds will be gifted to the Council following their launch by the Mayor so they can maintain them moving forward.

The schools involved are Holyport College (1 of the winning student entries), St Mary's School Ascot (1 of the winning student entries), Eton College (creating horse shoe sculptures to go in the beds and construction of the timber frames), The Langley Academy (students assisting with the planting), St Joseph's Catholic High School (students assisting with the planting), and Slough & Eton C of E Business & Enterprise College (assisting with the planting).
