The new hospital  - one of the best Planned Care facilities in the country, includes:

  • Six operating theatres
  • 48 inpatient beds plus 24 day case cubicles
  • General surgery, antenatal, paediatric and physiotherapy services
  • One-stop clinics, including breast and urology
  • Enhanced cardiology diagnostics

The  new Heatherwood  hospital will specialise in planned, non-emergency operations for Orthopaedics and Plastics, Ophthalmology and Lithotripsy. With outpatient services for Gynaecology, Urology, Cardiology and Orthopaedics, supported by Endoscopy, Physiotherapy, Phlebotomy and Radiology.

The new Heatherwood Hospital will provide us with a dedicated, state-of-the-art facility using the latest technology to deliver outstanding services. Due to its location in the heart of our community it will meet the needs of our NHS and private patients across Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey.

We are due to open to patients this spring, replacing the current Heatherwood building which has stood in Ascot for a century. Our new hospital will have six operating theatres, 48 inpatient beds and 22 day-case cubicles and provide operations, diagnostics and outpatient care to both NHS and private patients.

Once the demo;ition of old Heatherwood is done, Taylor Wimpey has planning permission to 230 new homes including a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bed houses and 1, 2 and 3 bed apartments.
