The annual outing to 'Rosie’s Chocolate Factory' at Sheeplands Farm, near Wargrave for Year 4 boys from Papplewick School in Ascot was as popular as ever this year.

The trip was part of the ‘Geography of Chocolate’ scheme of work for the Year 4 Geography course. The boys had been learning about the climate required for the growing of cacao beans, and went to see how the beans are transformed into a chocolate bar.

The boys made a chocolate bar and a lollipop (with a choice of white, milk or dark chocolate) and then delighted in decorating them with sweets.

Headmaster Tom Bunbury said "Extraordinarily this geographical trip commands 100 percent attention during the duration of the workshop !"
