Outdoor Halloween Party for Local Toddlers and Preschoolers
On the 31st of October, four local mumpreneurs brought their businesses together to create a unique Halloween party for a large group of under 5s. The party took place in a dedicated garden
space in Warfield, where the children took part in outdoor games and activities that focused on the fun and playfulness of Halloween. The party also played an important role in raising vital funds for
NSPCC’s tireless work to protect every childhood, with 100% of the ticket sales going to the charity. The Little Muddy Boots garden in Warfield, is a dedicated space for under 5s to learn and explore
the great outdoors. All activities are linked to gardening and the natural world, and support many areas of early years development, from gross and fine motor skill development, to fostering
creativity and problem-solving skills. The Halloween party games encouraged the children to understand more about garden wildlife, get creative with pumpkins and learn practical skills such
as lighting campfires. Little Muddy Boots was founded by Hannah Brewer, as a result of her passion for promoting outdoor play in early years, and now provides weekly sessions for around 70
children in Ascot and Warfield.

PartyBales® are based in Winkfield Row, are specialists in hay and straw bale hire, providing bale seating and bale decorations at events, weddings, parties and festivals throughout England and
Wales. For this event, PartyBales® provided bales for seating, bale games and props, and pumpkins. Shona Frost, Co-Founder of PartyBales®, said “it’s fantastic for PartyBales® to be able
to give something back to the community, by helping to create a memorable and educational experience for local children whilst raising money for such a fantastic cause.”
Val Ward, owner of catering company Slice, ensured that after all that fresh air and outdoor play, the children were treated to some tasty Halloween cupcakes and biscuits, oozing with homemade
goodness! Based near Ascot, Slice runs a monthly supperclub, evening canapé events, party catering and cooking tuition. Mini Monster Bags specialises in party and gift bags, and gifted each child with a ‘Go Green for Halloween’ baking-themed party bag, packed full of yummy ingredients to bake their own halloween cakes at home. Anne Killops, Founder of Mini Monster Bags, said “We were so excited to be part of this lovely fundraising event for NSPCC”.
Memories of the unique event, were also captured by local Warfield photographer Kelly Dowling. The portrait, wedding and sports photographer was the perfect choice with her relaxed, creative
and fun approach to taking photographs. Kelly’s support of the event, enabled each family to take home a treasured photograph of their little one at play in the garden setting.
‘Its brilliant that we can work together and create a really special event. I know our little party guests had lots of fun, and what a fantastic chance to raise £200* and support the fight for every
