ASCOT RACECOURSE APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT | Ascot Racecourse  announced the appointment of Rory Renwick as Head of Business Development, on April 26th.

Rory has more than twenty years’ experience in the sports industry, having led new business and sponsorship teams across a number of sports.  Most recently he was Head of Sales for the Extreme Sailing Series and he was previously Senior Director of Business Development at the Women’s Tennis Association with responsibility for developing commercial partnerships across Europe, Middle East and Africa. 

Rory also has significant experience of Asia, having previously worked in Singapore as Phar Partnership’s Head of Sponsorship in Asia and prior to that he was Head of New Business for Parallel Media Group in Hong Kong, where he worked for seven years securing commercial partnerships for existing events and creating new events for clients in golf, sailing and contemporary art.

His career started at the European Tour, where he managed relationships with media buying agencies and oversaw the relationships between event promoters, their sponsors and the Tour’s TV programming.  Rory has an honours degree in Geography from Newcastle University.
