music groups at all saints church ascot

Don’t hide your musical light under a bushel – come along and join in!

All Saints Choir is a robed four-part mixed choir and meets to rehearse every Thursday, 7.30-9pm in the choir vestry at All Saints' church.  They sing at the 10.30am Parish Mass every Sunday except the first Sunday of the month, preparing an anthem each week. Choral Evensong is sung on the second Sunday of the month and there is an annual Deanery Choral Evensong.

Music for Holy Week & Easter and for Advent & Christmas is a particular focus for the first three and last three months of the year. Palm Sunday features an annual concert when the choir joins forces with other choirs from local churches, often a Requiem (by Faure, Goodall, Chilcott and Rutter in recent years).

All Saints Junior Choir is for boys and girls aged from about seven through to thirteen. They meet in the choir vestry each Thursday, 6.30-7.30pm, to rehearse and lead the singing at the All Saints Together services on the first Sunday of the month. The Royal School of Church Music “Voice for Life” scheme is followed and many choristers attend RSCM courses at Oxford at Easter and the Young Voices Festivals at Salisbury Cathedral in November.  The choristers sing at weddings and join with the senior choir for major festivals at Easter, All Saints Day and Christmas and the Deanery Evensong.

Currently the band includes piano, keyboard, accordion, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, violin, trombone, guitar, bass guitar and drums.
