The spacious bedrooms are arranged on the perimeter of the shared living space and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms to make them familiar and homely. All the rooms at Lynwood have large ensuite shower rooms, designed to maintain independence where possible and to enable dignified personal care as required. The home also has assisted bathing facilities for those not able to shower to help maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
Facilities and outside spaces
Lynwood is blessed with superb facilities. The Pantry café is open 24-hours a day for self-service hot and cold drinks and snacks, so visitors can ‘go for a coffee’ without needing to leave the home. Oscars Cinema space is where movie nights and scheduled film screening are held, and residents can request to watch their favourite movie.
There are plenty of outside spaces at Lynwood, from roof terraces to gardens and a woodland path, so if residents and their families or visitors want fresh air or a walk it’s all easily accessible, right on the doorstep. If the weather isn’t good outside, the conservatory spaces allow people to enjoy a view of the gardens while staying warm and dry.

Physiotherapy
Lynwood has its own onsite physiotherapy practice, located in neighbouring Lynwood Village and accessed via a covered walkway. All Lynwood residents receive a physiotherapy assessment and can choose to have ongoing treatment, or to attend exercise and rehabilitation classes in the therapy centre and hydrotherapy pool. It’s rare for a care home to have a fully equipped physiotherapy centre onsite so this is a significant benefit for Lynwood residents.
