• AVB is run solely by volunteers
• The booking service is now run remotely, that is our transport administrators operate from home
• the service is limited to the provision of transport to medical appointments
• our drivers use their own vehicles
• we cannot cater for people in wheelchairs
• clients must reside in the SL5 postcode area
• you can book transport by phone, leaving a message with your name along with the destination, plus the date and time of your appointment. Alternatively, you can fill in this form on the website
• our transport administrator will contact you about your booking before close of business on the next working day
• please give us at least 48 hours notice of your need for transport
• the charge is a flat fee of £5 for appointments within the SL5 postcode area, and 50p per mile for appointments outside the SL5 postcode area (measured from the driver’s home)
