Windsor Roller Girls The Royal Windsor Rollergirls (RWRG) is one of over 60 (and still growing) roller derby leagues in the UK.  The team trains 4 times a week at Charters Leisure Centre, Devenish Road, Sunningdale, which is also the first venue in the UK to put down a permanent roller derby track.  The 60+ members travel from all over Berks, Bucks, and Surrey, and more Ascot members are very welcome.
Roller derby is a fast and furious full-contact game played by ladies on roller skates, as seen in last year's hit Hollywood flick starring Juliette Lewis and Drew Barrymore, 'Whip It'.  It's also currently one of the fastest growing women's sports in the UK.  RWRG are looking for new players of all abilities (including absolute beginners), as well as refs (male or female).  All players and officials must be over 18 - anyone who is interested to try this exciting sport should get in touch via the website:

The golf course,  founded Mr Edward Ernest Villiers, offers a unique golfing experience for golfers of all abilities.

Sunningdale Heath welcomes Ladies, Gentlemen & Juniors. 18 Holes in 2-3 Hours.  Par 58 & Par 61 for the Ladies, making it the perfect course for a busy lifestyle.

The course, currently measuring 3705 yards (do not let this figure deflect you!), is located in very attractive quintessentially British countryside and is described by golfing legend Peter Alliss, as being 'Quite Magical.”

Perfectly proportioned, but smaller, as a test of golf, it is challenging for everyone.

Members can participate in regular competitions , events and socials but the course is also often free for play without pre- booking a tee time.

There is a small practice net and putting green, as well the independent  Ultimate Golf Studio, adjacent to the clubhouse.

One recently-joined member commented: "Joining Sunningdale Heath couldn't have been easier and members have made me extremely welcome. It is the friendliest club I have ever belonged to and the course is great fun.  I particularly enjoy therelaxed atmosphere underlain by excellent organisation .   I am confient that my golf will improve now I'm a member. The homely, sunny clubhouse is an sset too; there is a great chef who does lovely homemade snacks and light lunches . There's also a bar and I'm looking forward to the forthcoming social events.  There's even a dedicated Bridge Room, though I don't play myself. "

Since the green, blue and red trails were built in Swinley, mountain biking has become very popular with an estimated 200,000 riders a year now riding there, trying mountain biking for the first time, getting fit or enjoying a well-loved past-time. That number puts serious wear and tear on the ginger and that’s where TrailTeam Swinley comes in. We are a team of 8 who design, build, inspect, advise and maintain for The Crown Estate.
