New Gallery Opens in Chobham PDF Print

New Bank Gallery, Artist Co Operative, Chobham

Chobham High Street is once again to have its own Art Gallery. Elaine Coles the owner of the Old Barclay's Bank property in the High Street and local potter has bought together a talented group of local artists to form a co-operative. There will be changing exhibitions every fortnight giving the gallery a new look these will include, paintings, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, jewellery etc., The artists will be running their own exhibitions and there will be a chance to meet and talk to the artists. Some of our artist’s are keen to promote art in the community and will be putting on workshops and talks for the local community.


The gallery will be hosting a party on Thursday 30th April to celebrate the launch and the Rt. Hon. Michael Gove MP will be attending the opening.

Bank Gallery will open its doors to the public on Saturday 2nd May with a group exhibition, giving you a 'taste of what's to come'. The group exhibition will run for 5 weeks and will be followed with 5 of our members participating in Surrey Open Studios.
