The 30-minute performances are free of charge and informal, allowing people to come and go as their schedule allows. Programmes are varied with different themes each week featuring both sacred and secular music. Concerts take place most Wednesday lunchtimes during term time, 1.15-1.45pm, in the Chapel at Royal Holloway. No need to book tickets; just turn up. Seventy people attended the North Ascot Drop-in Christmas party, which was held on Wednesday 16 December at the Cranbourne British Legion Hall. An excellent hot lunch was served followed by an hour of music played by the very talented Janet Beale, who played a wonderful selection of music from clasical to jazz on the piano-accordion,saxaphone, ukulele, & flute & lead us in some very enjoyable seasonal singing.
We had a bumper raffle (with a prize for everyone) & the afternoon concluded with a visit from Father Christmas wishing us all a Merry Christmas.
