Fitness League- Winkfield & Sunningdale

Tuesday afternoons at the Charlotte Pratt Hall, Chavey Down Road, Winkfield, and  Thursday mornings at Sunningdale Village Hall, Church Road !

Local Fitness League teacher, Christine Underhill, has been overwhelmed by the interest generated by the 'Upstairs Downstairs' references to the Women’s League of Health and Beauty in a recent BBC programme. Christine says: “It's been a great opportunity to show how the League has changed and modernised over the years. We don't wear the uniform any longer, the exercise is effective and up-to-date and we use iPods and CDs instead of a piano.  But the principles remain as true today as they ever were.”  Christine has been teaching Fitness League classes for 5 years in Sunningdale and Winkfield Row and knows the benefits of the system.  “I love seeing women empowered by our exercise system. It is so exciting to see the improvement in fitness, posture, health and wellbeing that our system provides. I know we might previously have been seen as old-fashioned but the fact that we are still here, delivering good quality exercise classes after over 80 years, tells you something!”

Certainly Christine’s class members think the classes are good value – and a chance to get together for a fun and friendly exercise session!
