Martins Heron junction upgrade is now entering its final stages and carriageway resurfacing work is due to commence on Monday 14th January for approximately 2 weeks. This work will be undertaken overnight between 8:30pm and 6am. The overnight resurfacing work requires the junction to be closed to enable the old surface to be planed off and the new surface to be installed to the new levels. Unfortunately this requires heavy machinery which can generate some noise, however, we will endeavour to keep this to a minimum and we apologise for any disruption caused.

This work is weather dependent and so the actual completion date could vary slightly but every effort will be made to complete the works within these 2 weeks. Traffic will be temporarily diverted to use other strategic routes throughout Bracknell during the closures. Please see roadworks.org for details of the diversion. During the day, the current temporary traffic management control will remain in place whilst the permanent traffic signals are installed. The council will be beginning a full public awareness exercise after the Christmas period.

With regard to overall completion of the scheme, for a short period after the surfacing is complete, the junction will continue operating with temporary lights until the switch over to the permanent traffic signals which is expected in early February.
