This will complete improvements to the area around the entrance to Ascot Business Park.



The works will include the following:
•    Resurfacing the road.
•    New footpath.

Clive Carroll was described by Acoustic Guitar magazine as ‘Probably the Best and Most Original Young Acoustic Guitar Player and Composer in Britain’. Born into a family of musicians in 1975, Clive has been immersed in a diverse range of music ever since. His father made him his first banjo in 1977 and a few years later he was playing in the family band. At 9 he started to play the guitar and a few years later he joined a Soul group and several orchestras.
In 1998, he gained a 1st Class Honours Degree in Composition & Guitar from Trinity College, London and whilst there he was also awarded a Prize to record Rodrigo's 'Concierto de Aranjuez' with the Trinity orchestra, the John Halford Prize for Composition (1994), Gladys Puttick Memorial Prize for Extemporisation (‘94,’98), Ivor Mairants Guitar Award (1997), Montagu Cleeve Prize for Guitar (1998) and the Essex Young Musician of the Year (1999)

Representatives from Age Concern Insurance Services, Energy Services, Aid Call Alarms and pre-paid Funeral Plans will also be present to tell people more about the interesting range of products offered by Age Concern.   

Advisors on welfare benefits, wills and inheritance tax, community police, fire service, trading standards, Forestcare, Handyman scheme and other matters of interest to senior citizens will be in attendance to answer any questions, so bring along any relevant information.

Admission is free, light refreshments will be available and there is also a chance for everyone who attends to enter a prize draw.

Ascot Charitable Trust Ball - May 1 PDF Print

  Ascot Charitable Trust Taking place on Saturday 1st May from 7pm at  Ascot Racecourse, the ball will include a drinks reception, gala dinner, and live entertainment. The Caribbean themed evening will be presented by former Miss World compère Peter Marshall, with live comedy from former UK Comedian of the Year, Russ Williams. There will also be musical entertainment, a grand auction including romantic destinations and current memorabilia, a silent auction, a prize draw, and finally dancing into the night.  

The Ascot Charity Ball is a prestigious event, and promises to be a great evening. There will be three charities benefiting from this event:

•    ParalympicsGB   preparing for the once in a lifetime  opportunity that is the London 2012                             
•    Alexander Devine Children’s Cancer Trust     building the first children’s hospice in Berkshire

•    Children with Special Needs Foundation helping any child or children with  special needs

There will be a number of celebrities and representatives present on the evening, including Paralympians, to show their gratitude to all those attending and donating. The athletes invited will share with the guests their inspirational stories, and take questions on their experiences.

These splendid chamber players, all of whol are first class graduates from Royal Holloway, last  appeared in Sunninghill two years ago.
