About this centre

Ofsted Registered In-Centre Class available Childcare vouchers accepted Online Class available KUMON CONNECT available
Kumon Ascot offers individualised Maths and English study programmes which are designed to allow children to progress at their own pace. We guide our students in the Kumon Method of Learning, which is carefully targeted to children as young as three years old through to those that wish to study to an advanced level. We welcome children across all age ranges and abilities.

Students can attend class up to two times a week for 30 minutes and continue to study their carefully assigned Kumon worksheets independently throughout the rest of the week, at home. Daily study allows our students to discover new techniques and concepts but also improves their ability to learn by themself as well as how to maintain a more intense focus across all subjects.

The Ascot centre is based in a dedicated classroom where a warm and encouraging environment has been built. Children can regularly work in a rewarding and trusting space where they can grow more comfortable and confident within their own ability in order to maximise their potential.

Kumon Ascot is delighted to offer two alternative methods of study. There is the traditional worksheet study with pencil and paper or the KUMON CONNECT study on a tablet with a stylus.

Did you know, you can now study Kumon digitally? This study centre is proud to offer KUMON CONNECT. Click here to find out more.

As an Ofsted registered centre, parents can make considerable savings through various schemes.

About the Instructor

Hi, my name is Fahad and I’m the Instructor at the Kumon Ascot Study Centre.

I first become familiar with the Kumon method as a child, because I was enrolled in the Kumon programme myself! It allowed me to gain first-hand experience of the academic benefits of studying the Kumon maths and English programmes and the additional study skills they provide to children. I gained an appreciation of the impact that the Kumon method can have towards helping develop well-rounded and capable individuals that can use the skills that they acquire to access countless future opportunities in life.

Guiding and working with children has always been a passion of mine and I’ve been able to gain experience in a variety of different areas such as foster-care settings, football coaching and private tuition.

The idea that a student isn't limited by what I, their parents, their teachers or anyone else knows, is what most attracted me to this methodology. Witnessing the different ways in which children can develop a love for learning has been one of the most rewarding things to see and I hope to continue this journey alongside you and your children in the Ascot centre.

Popular Questions

Kumon is a self-learning programme with each student receiving regular support from their Instructor. The carefully developed worksheets teach students how to find the answer for themselves, whilst their Instructor offers guidance when necessary. The key role of each Kumon Instructor is to observe their students working, either in the centre or their online class, making sure that work is set at the right level and that they are developing at the right pace.

Students can start learning with Kumon from age two upwards. We currently have students as young as two years old studying with us, ranging all the way up to those about to go to university; Kumon helps children of any age and any ability. The sooner children begin, the earlier they can start developing skills to gain the greatest cumulative benefit; as soon as you feel your family is ready to make the commitment to long-term study, Kumon will be ready to help you achieve your goal.

Kumon offers much more than tutoring and differs from traditional teaching in the classroom. Rather than preparing children for a particular test or assessment, Kumon empowers students to learn for themselves, through individualised instruction and carefully developed worksheets.

As well as developing key skills in maths and English, each Kumon student will work towards building their independent learning skills and confidence in their own abilities. This means that a Kumon student will not be dependent on – or limited by – the skills and knowledge of others.

As a global programme, Kumon does not follow a school curriculum, but rather is complementary to curricula across the world. The primary aim of the Kumon Method is to develop independent learning skills. These independent learning skills enhance the students’ performance right across the school curriculum. Kumon operates at exactly the right level for each student – regardless of their age – ensuring that work set extends and develops their skills, confidence and ability.
