Rotary Presents Huge Cheque to Day Centre

The Rotary Club of Ascot (RCA), with the aid of the community, especially the Carpenters Arms, The Dog and Partridge, the Dukes Head and the Sunninghill Comrades Club, raised £5,602 at the New Year's Day 2009 Wheelbarrow Race. The Rotrary Club  contributed a further £2,000 from  its Charity Fund. The money will be used for the refurbishment of the toliet for the disabled at the Ascot and District Day Centre for the elderly in Bagshot Road, Sunninghill.

The RCA New Year Wheelbarrow Race contribution helps the Day Centre stay on a secure financial footing and to continue serving the elderly residents of Sunninghill, Sunningdale and Ascot.
