Hurst Lodge School Sweeps the Board.
Students from Hurst Lodge School have swept the board in the highly prestigious Independent School Association National Art Competition winning three first prizes and being highly commended in a fourth. There were over 3000 entries for schools across the country. Headmistress, Kate Leiper said, “To win more prizes than any other school in such a competition is a wonderful achievement and testament to some extremely hard work and dedication. We are exceptionally proud of our Creative Arts Department at Hurst Lodge who produce some really inventive and original work in all artistic media.” The Independent Schools Association represents over 300 of the top independent schools in the country.
The winners were Jordan Heighes whose textile piece won the under 16 category, Hannah Griffiths whose 3D entry won the 16 and above category, Yemi Adeyoola, Millie Heighes, Lauren Metcalf, Monique Sang won the under 14 2D category and Holly Faughnan and Holly Hammond were commended for their work in the under 7 category.
