Christmas Canapés for Charity Gift Fayre: Jess Rozario from Sebastian’s Action Trust and Rebecca Wood from the American Women of Berkshire and Surrey (AWBS) helped Susan Hansen from Hansen’s Deli, in Sunninghill, on Thursday to finalise and taste the 'hand-prepared Christmas Canapés' that will be showcased at the AWBS Holiday Craft and Gift Fair this November.
Susan will be demonstrating how to make 'Captivating Canapés' and how to wow your guests at the event at Ascot Racecourse on Friday 4th November. The Fayre will be AWBS’s 28th annual Holiday Craft and Gift Fayre and will feature 90 stalls selling all sorts of Christmas gifts, decorations and crafts.

The Fayre is AWBS’s main fundraiser of the year with all funds raised being distributed to local charities across Berkshire and Surrey through grants. Sebastian’s Action Trust has been lucky enough to receive funds from AWBS grants in recent years. CLICK HERE for event details

Susan shared her recipes with Jess and Rebecca giving them a few tips on how she sources the best ingredients from the finest suppliers and producers. Susan said, “Just as we are passionate about the quality of the ingredients we use and believe provenance and flavour really matters, we know that AWBS share our emphasis on quality. I know their volunteers worked all summer to painstakingly research the very best exhibitors in their field. Ascot’s stunning historic Pavilion ballroom complex has attracted some of the best exhibitors from prestigious events like Spirit of Christmas and the Country Living Fairs, the Chelsea Flower Show and Crufts. I’m really excited to join those exhibitors and other talented local artists and craftspeople. For those who value quality and craftsmanship like I do, you will be inspired by the local designers, artists and crafts people coming.”

Rebecca Wood, AWBS Treasurer for the Fayre said: “We are hoping that our focus on quality will pay off with a new record in the funds we raise. We love to know that all our hard work will make a real difference in the community just as the £27,000 we have given to Sebastian’s Action Trust over the past four years has.”
