Garden in Bloom 2010 - Last Call for Nominations

This is a final call to residents to send in nominations for Garden in Bloom 2010: The award scheme acknowledges the green-fingered contributions local residents, communities and local businesses make to improve the appearance of our towns and villages.

Residents can nominate any individual private garden, groups or gardens or community gardens visible to passers-by, that is from the road or a footpath. Certificates and rosettes will be awarded to outstanding gardens in each of the 23 wards that make up the Royal Borough. The first prize winner from each ward will be put forward to a final round of judging, and a overall winner for most attractive front garden in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead will be chosen from these finalists. Prizes for ward winners and the overall winner will be presented at a ceremony in the autumn.  

Commercial properties can also make a big impact on the local environment as they are often in high profile sites where they can be seen by lots of people.  Of all the commercial premises the local pub often has the most impact.  A good pub garden can really enhance a visit.
