World Cup fever Comes to Papplewick

Argentinians at PapplewickA group of Argentinian footballers arrived at Papplewick School, Ascot, last week, bringing with them an international flavour of things to come at this year’s World Cup.

St. Catherine Moorlands from Buenos Aires arrived last Monday to stay with the school for three days at the end of their European trip. They had come to Papplewick to play a football match and sightsee around Windsor and London.

Papplewick won the match 4-1, with Myles Treacy from Windsor and Rory Dunning from Wargrave - man of the match - both scoring two goals each.  The boys hosted some of the Argentinian boys for the three nights of their stay and had a whale of a time.
