Winkfield & Cranbourne Benefice 25th Anniversary

united benefice of winkfield & cranbourneSILVER ANNIVERSARY:  The celebratory activities planned for this wonderful opportunity for our church community to mix, mingle and share are now well under way:

  • Jane O'Sullivan, Visual Arts & Outreach Officer, and Chantal Addley, Resident Community Artist, both from South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell will judge the children's/young people's art competition launched before Christmas.  The theme is 'How you look now and how you'll look in 25 years' time'.
  • A fun 'Then and Now' photograph competition is also being held - a guessing game about 25-year-old pictures of congregation members and 'who could that be?'
  • On Saturday, March 20th there will be a lovely tea party at Carnation Hall, Chavey Down with The Right Reverend Stephen Cottrell, Bishop of Reading and all the art competition entries on display.
  • March 21: The Reverend Simon Baynes, former Vicar, will take services in all three churches.
  • From Friday to Sunday, June 11th to 13th, a magnificent flower festival with three-church input will be held at St Peter's Church.
  • On the last day The Reverend Richard Neill, former Vicar, will take a service and there will be a jolly Benefice Barbecue at Kilbees Farm.
