Third Time Lucky for Kosovo

Coworth Flexlands Kosovo missionWe at Coworth Flexlands have a very privileged school life with every amenity at our fingertips.  There are a lot of people in the world who are not so fortunate.  Hope and Aid Direct is the charity supported by Donna Leech who, with the help of fellow parents and children at Coworth Flexlands, has rallied around to give donations such as stationery, toiletries. clothing and shoes.  The school has also given many text books to the cause.

For the third year in a row Donna is driving 1500 miles over 5 days, sleeping in the cab of her hired truck until she reaches her ultimate destination of Kosovo.  The country is still suffering from the effects of the recent war.   Goods are going to the most needy villages and schools in the area.

Making the journey herself, Donna is able to report the immediate difference the Charity is able to make the people she meets.  A pair of shoes or trainers that her three children have already worn can mean that a Kosovan child does not spend the winter barefoot.

Donna’s progress can be tracked on the Coworth-Flexlands School website www.coworthflexlands.co.uk look for YUM & MUM

More information about the charity can be found at www.hopeandaiddirect.co.uk

As soon as she returns Donna will be starting her drive for contributions towards her trip next year.
