New Head Starts at St.Francis
At the start of this term Jane Gow became only the sixth head teacher of St Francis Catholic Primary School in South Ascot since the school began 110 years ago - in 1899. Mrs Gow has worked in a range of Berkshire schools, both in Slough and Bracknell, but until now she has never worked within the RBWM jurisdiction. Most recently she completed three very successful years as head teacher of Christ Church Infant school in Virginia Water and is now looking forward to the challenges that await her at St Francis. Mrs Gow is a practising Catholic and her faith is central to her values as a head teacher.
Jane has many hobbies, including netball and jogging. She has run in a number of half marathons and has also completed the London marathon. She is hoping to become a valued member of the St Francis Joggers - parents and pupils who raise moneyfor charity in memory of a Governor, starting with the forthcoming Windsor Half Marathon. Jane is married with three daughters who attend Charters School in Sunningdale.
