St.Francis Pupils Find Fun in Exploring Natural Resources

The pupils of St Francis Catholic Primary School in South Ascot wil have a ‘splashing’ time on Monday (June 8) as they explore the role water plays in their lives.

Thanks to a visit by a team from Three  Valleys Water, younger pupils will explore  the properties of water, how items floated or sank, find out how water cleans, and using water to split light. Older pupils  will audit the school to check water use and find ways of saving this life-giving resource.
Deputy Headteacher Hilary Prendergast said:” The exploration of water use is part of the school’s programme of events to explore the way we interact with the environment and our use, and abuse, of natural resources. It can be a difficult subject to explain but the Three Valley s Water team have developed a series of games and events to make learning the subject great fun for all ages.”
The day is sponsored by Procter & Gamble.
