When Charters School in Sunningdale launched their Charters Essential Parcels initiative last month they had no idea how successful it would be. Within the first week they had received over £3175 and achieved their target which would enable them to provide one Essential Parcel for every vulnerable family within their school.

Raising the money was only the first part of the process. One of their staff members who has links to a wholesaler, kindly ordered the items and a group of students and staff then collected the goods from Londis in New Road.

The second part of the process was organising a group of students to pack the Parcels. On Wednesday afternoon seventeen students gave up their second break to pack the store cupboard essentials into bags, ready for collection.

The school would like to thank everyone who played a part in helping them to support those in need. The Charters Essential Parcels initiative is a real example of the school community displaying Charters School’s values of Unity Respect Excellence.
