A Celebration Of Royal Ascot Schools Art Competition
Ascot Racecourse is delighted to announce the winners of the Royal Ascot Schools Art Competition 2020 which can be viewed below or CLICK HERE.
For the third consecutive year, pupils from local primary and secondary schools were invited to create a picture depicting a "Celebration of Royal Ascot" for a chance to win £1,000 for their school, plus Amazon vouchers for themselves. Winning entries will be displayed in the Ascot Heath Tunnel for Royal Ascot 2020 for guests to view and enjoy during the meeting and beyond.
Over 700 entries were received from 12 participating schools, gaining over 2,500 online votes which was wonderful.
The “Ascot Racecourse Supports” Racing Ambassador, Ryan Moore, was also asked to choose his overall favourite which was Bea Ryan (age 12) (see above).
Whilst the students cannot be physically congratulated, as in previous years, they will be recognised virtually!
The six winning schools will be receiving their £1,000 in prize monies shortly and £50/£25 Amazon vouchers will also be sent to the winning and runner-up students respectively.
In due course, the artwork will be erected in the Heath Tunnel to complement those from previous years for racegoers and the local community to enjoy.
