Dormy House Sponsors Rugby Teams at Charters School  | The Year 7, 8 and 9 rugby teams at Charters School in Sunningdale has recently received sponsorship from local care home Dormy House. The Sunningdale based care home, which is part of the Caring Homes Group, is keen to build intergenerational links within the local community and sponsoring the kit is just one element of their support for Charters School.

Diane Heyes, Dormy House’s Customer Relations Advisor, is working with some of the school’s Sixth Form students who need work experience as part of their preparations for studying medicine after their A Levels and the organisation also sponsored one of the year groups at the school’s Celebration of Achievement awards last summer.

The donation, which will support the development of grass roots rugby at the school, builds on the donation of rugby posts in September from local company, Leading Outcomes.

Head of PE, Mr Chris Wales said, “A huge thank you to Diane Heyes at Dormy House for the donation of the rugby kits; a very kind gesture which will greatly benefit the development of Rugby here at Charters. Grassroots rugby is thriving at Charters and is becoming a fundamental part of both the curriculum & extra-curricular activities.”
