Following its first full year in operation, Bet With Ascot, the pool betting operation run in conjunction with UK Tote, will make donations totalling £30,000 this Christmas, split across local homeless charities and national gambling charities.

The £15,000 gambling related donations will be spread across three organisations that prevent problem gambling at source and those that rehabilitate and help people to rebound after encountering problems; the Young Gamers & Gambler’s Education Trust, GamCare/Gamble Aware and the Resume Foundation, run by the Bridge of Hope charity.

The increased problem of homelessness, is all too clear in every major town and city in the UK. As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, the racecourse has donated £15,000 between three local relief efforts; the Windsor Homeless Project, Pilgrim Hearts, which is based in Bracknell and Slough Homeless Our Concern.

Alastair Warwick, Managing Director, Bet With Ascot, & Chief Operations Officer, Ascot Racecourse, said: “After a successful first full year operating Bet With Ascot, we are delighted to be making donations totalling £30,000 this Christmas.

“We are actively engaged in the national responsible gambling effort and are pleased to supplement that financially. We are also conscious of our local homeless, and those who devote so much time to related charities, especially at this festive time of year.”
